It’s not every day a rural store wins a national award, so for Sam Bald and his team at Total Ag Landmark Narembeen, there is certainly cause for celebration.
Attention to detail coupled with a sensible approach to workplace safety has allowed the small Wheatbelt outlet to take out the January Agsafe Achievers award. Western Australia Accreditation Facilitator Bevan Henderson has been keeping an eye on the store for a long time through his regular visits and he enthusiastically endorsed the award’s recipients.
“Landmark Narembeen is just a terrific store,” Mr. Henderson said.
“The store is extremely well-presented, they have all the correct emergency plans in place and their product registers and manifests are spot-on. It’s always immaculate throughout and they are definitely a worthy winner.”
Owner Sam Bald has overseen a wide variety of changes to the Total Ag premises and he has certainly appreciated Bevan’s knowledge and expertise.
“We are always striving to keep the premises a safe working environment for staff and our clientele,” he said.
“Other than general maintenance and housekeeping for the up-keep of our premises, we have also updated all our signage on the building and perimeter fencing and installed a new emergency shower and eyewash facilities.
“With the assistance and recommendations from Bevan Henderson the safety of our premises can be kept to the highest of industry standards. We are extremely pleased!”
